A Garden Passport Worth Knowing About
If you enjoy visiting public gardens when you travel—or even close to home—the American Horticultural Society (AHS) Garden Network Reciprocal Admissions Program is a terrific benefit to know about. By joining AHS, you gain free or discounted admission to hundreds of gardens across the U.S., Canada, and beyond, including botanical gardens, arboreta, and historic landscapes. Many locations also offer guest privileges and gift shop discounts. Membership pricing is affordable:
~ Individual memberships are $35 per year for Seniors and $50 for non-Seniors.
~ Household memberships are $70 per year. Just one or two garden visits can easily pay for the cost of membership. Closer to home are two outstanding AHS-participating gardens: Norfolk Botanical Garden and Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond.
For gardeners who love learning, traveling, and seeing plants in new settings, AHS membership is a simple way to expand your garden experiences year-round.
