Strange insects on your plants?

Insect Identification and Control Management:

Want to know more about the insect you found? The Virginia Master Gardeners can help!

For the identification of insects and mites, please submit a clear, focused image or images to insectidlab@vt.edu. Please include your name, location, and where you found the insect (such as on a tomato plant, in a bathroom, on an oak tree, or on the ground in your yard). A reply will be sent via your local Virginia Cooperative Extension Agent. In some cases, you may be directed to submit a physical specimen to your local Cooperative Extension office for identification under magnification. There is a new form to complete your submission.

You can also submit questions to our Help Desk about how to deal with insect problems. Send an email to yk.pq.mg@gmail.com with details or use the form on this website.
